This Equinox reminds us of the importance of balance as the seasons beat rhythms into our lives. It is time to slowly prepare for the darker months. The inward journey of winter and the joy of Christmas and new beginnings. So many simple lessons are ever unfolding in the natural occurrences of this world. Which teaches us there is a right time for everything. On a somatic level we are reminded of the importance of integration, self reflection and an overall movement of growing our inward focus. There is balance between living in the experience of the world and returning to our hearts to seat with the lessons learned. Integration and moments of silence are primordial to our inner journeys. In Jyotisha we use Dashas which are time period that activate certain planetary placements to reflect the current inner seasons of a person and how these are changing over time. This is always seen in combination with other factors such as transits. When timing events in Vedic Astrology we look at what is called the confluence to ascertain our predictions.

Although there may be a backdrop of violence and sorrow let us never forget that beauty is ever present and so is goodness, and that will ever remain. It is off my personal insight and prediction that many solutions will be found even through our growing difficulties in the coming decades. Our weather is changing and so is our technical ability to find solutions. AI is growing and so is the hope towards solving many things like nuclear fusion or the potential for a cancer cure.

As the light of the Moon grows dark and the Sun prepares itself for our annual Solar Eclipse. I am inviting everyone to slow down and be very mindful and ‘demure’. If your mind is running fast take time to journal and keep your ideas close by until we are on the other side of this dark Moon ie October 3-4-5. These Eclipses can cause emotional and psychic disturbances. So remember drive mindfully, be compassionate with the thought that some people “may not be in their right state of mind.”

We are currently in the time period called Pitri Paksha which is the ancestors fortnight. During these two weeks a year a special connection is built between our world and the spirit realm. As we get closer to this dark Moon, take some time to remember your loved ones that have passed and the family lineages that live through us. If you have photos of deceased family members now is the time to dust them off. You can offer incense and light a candle in their honor.

A continuous momentum of military actions should be expected as we get closer to the dark Moon with a shift on October 4th and then again when the Sun moves to Libra. Overall as we are edging closer to the Month where the Sun is debilitated and a fallen Mars in Cancer we should all brace for continued discord.
On a greater scale its important to keep in mind that we are heading towards a major conjunction of Rahu and Saturn in the Spring. Which is what we call the storm yoga. This transit will culminate in the sign of Pisces March-April 2025.
Now on this greater scale there are also many auspicious combinations up ahead like the transit of Jupiter in its sign of exaltation starting October 18th 2025. Jupiter is the giver of harmony and great blessings.
On September 23rd Mercury begun its journey in its sign of exaltation however it is getting caught in this Dark Moon Solar Eclipse in the sign of Virgo. Note that sometimes exalted and caught in a curse can mean difficult turns of events.
